How Accountable should Researchers be for the Safety and Well-Being of their Subjects? Three Psychological case studies seem to pose this question in different ways. The first case asks about the accountability in deceptive naturalistic studies, the second the accountability in treatment testing for major psychological illness, and the accountability to protect animals against suffering in testing.
