Strategic Plan for Increasing the Numbers of Women in Science and Engineering Evidence shows that the female scientist or engineer is only a marginal participant in science and engineering activities. Strategies to increase the representation of women from all racial and ethnic groups are needed to prevent shortfalls of scientific personnel. One of the strategies is to establish a database that is accessible to individual and institutional researchers.
Discredited by a Database A couple moving to a retirement community has an eye on their "dream home". Because they have a good credit history, they assume that they will have no trouble obtaining a mortgage to purchase this home through a local bank in their community.
